Dua Lipa was born on 22nd August, 1995 in London United Kingdom. Dua Lipa signed with Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as a model. She launched her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album was ranked at number 3 in the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. They included Be The One I.D.G.A.F The U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. Number. #1 Single New Rules. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British debut act in 2018. The album was certified platinum in the world. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. She has Bosnian roots through her grandmother. There is also a trace of Lipa's ancestry to Peja in Kosovo. Her grandparents were historians as well. Her brother is Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa was influenced musically by her father, who also serves as the lead guitar player and the singer of the Kosovan group Oda. Her father at home continued to perform music, including original compositions as well as songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was 5 years old. At the age of nine, Lipa began singing at the Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has performed her cover of If I Am Not Got You and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube. Her record deal signed with Warner Bros. Records was made in the year 2014. She released her first single New Love in August of 2015.
